ECSL Summer Course 2010
19th ECSL Summer Course
The event will take place at the Faculty of Law of the University of Jaén, Spain from 30 August until 10 September 2010. ECSL has grown since the first Summer Course in Messina in 1992: the number of students and of faculties represented has risen steadily; the event has attracted well known teachers, and the programme has always featured a great variety in the lectures (always new topics, new types of practical exercise and “competition”). During the two-weeks course students attend intensive lectures given by university professors and space professionals concerning the international legal framework of space activities. These include UN Resolutions, space treaties and other legal issues relevant to space applications such as the commercialisation of space activities (licensing, contracts, insurance, public and private activities etc.) telecommunications, remote-sensing, intellectual property rights, etc. During the course students have the opportunity to meet highly qualified experts, to learn from their experience and to visit space industries. The main objective of the Summer Course is to stimulate students’ interest in this particular field of international law and to provide them with a basic, solid knowledge upon which to build their professional career or carry out further academic research. If you are interested feel free to send your application until the 27 June 2010 to: Prof. Irmgard Marboe ECSL - NPOC Austria University of Vienna - Faculty of Law Department of European, International and Comparative Law Schottenbastei 10-16 / 2/ 5 1010 Vienna For any further questions you may have, please contact:
